Man, this one took a while to come together. You can milk the virtual classrooms for only so many jokes before that cash cow runs dry. As it is, I had to pull out an oldie that I borrowed from pop-culture. Bonus points if you know where it comes from.
So there’s a big problem with students logging in, turning off their cameras, and then leaving or “ghosting out.” As long as they have gotten any work done that day, before 11:59pm, you can’t count them absent. But I CAN, and have started counting them tardy. Three of those a week kick off detention. It’s not as if we can send them to their rooms, so that may be just as ineffective. May be time to get more creative… thoughts?
Remember, if you’re five minutes late, you’re… three minutes early? How does that go again?
