Funny thing I noticed while managing the Red Ribbon Week activities for one of my schools a few times. At least one time during the week, we ask the students and staff to dress up as a child from their favorite decade; 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc… Not sure what the purpose of the dressing up was other than to get some unity and recognition for the cause, which if you’re not familiar, is drug prevention.

Ironically though, every time people dressed up from their favorite decade, they seemed to dress up in stereotypes of the popular, percieved, drug culture from those times. Like Nancy said, “Just say no children!”
